Banijay Group Appoints New Head of Content

PARIS: Marie Schweitzer, formerly Banijay Group’s content manager, has been promoted to head of content for the company.

Schweitzer will be responsible for all activities related to programs, overseeing the central development and creative team, as well as the market research department. Primarily, the exec will work on developing new global format brands while expanding existing ones such as Temptation Island and Popstars. She will report directly to Marco Bassetti, Banijay Group’s CEO.

Schweitzer has been with Banijay Group since the company’s launch in 2008, first serving as co-head of market research. Since then, she’s held various other positions, including head of Creative Factory (the company’s central development unit) and content manager.

“Marie has been working for Banijay for many years; she has a deep knowledge of the creative non-scripted market and a great talent in this field,” Bassetti said. “I’m very happy she accepted our offer for this important role.”
