ITV Studios’ Potato Appoints Head of Development

LONDON: Claire Morrison, who currently serves as a senior development exec at Shine TV, is joining the ITV Studios label Potato in the newly created post of head of development. 

Morrison will take up her new role at Potato in March. Prior to her time at Shine TV, Morrison was a development exec for BBC One. She also served as joint development head of BBC North and was a development producer at both Maverick Television and Endemol. During her career, Morrison has been involved in the development of such series as The Met (BBC One), Children's Hospital (ITV), Billy Connolly: Route 66 (ITV) and Supersize vs Superskinny (Channel 4). 


Michael Kelpie, the managing director of Potato, said: “We love the shows we make at Potato and in Claire we've found a talented and creative head of development who shares our passion. Her appointment marks a significant step in our growth plans as we continue to focus on developing more successful, returnable formats across a broad range of U.K. broadcasters."

Morrison added: “I really liked Michael when I met him and felt instinctively he was a true creative leader. I am really looking forward to joining the team at Potato where I am sure we will create some fantastic TV projects together.”
