{"id":9779,"date":"2018-07-27T10:32:58","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T14:32:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/movistar-original-pier-gets-world-premiere-tv-screening-mipcom\/"},"modified":"2018-07-27T13:06:52","modified_gmt":"2018-07-27T17:06:52","slug":"movistar-original-the-pier-gets-world-premiere-tv-screening-at-mipcom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/movistar-original-the-pier-gets-world-premiere-tv-screening-at-mipcom\/","title":{"rendered":"Movistar+ Original The Pier Gets World Premiere TV Screening at MIPCOM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Movistar+&#8217;s new original series <em>The Pier<\/em>, from creators \u00c1lex Pina and Esther Mart\u00ednez Lobato (<em>Money Heist<\/em>\/<em>La Casa de Papel<\/em>), will have its world premiere TV screening at MIPCOM.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-hour series is a Movistar+\/Telefonica original in collaboration with Atresmedia Studios and Pina\u2019s Vancouver Media. <em>The Pier<\/em> is currently shooting in Valencia and the surrounding Albufera National Park area through December. \u00c1lvaro Morte (<em>La Casa de Papel<\/em>) stars alongside Ver\u00f3nica S\u00e1nchez (<em>Morocco\u2014Love in Times of War<\/em>, <em>Gran Reserva<\/em>) and Irene Arcos (<em>Under Suspicion<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Pina is set to be in Cannes to promote the series, along with the lead cast members.<\/p>\n<p>Laurine Garaude, director of Reed MIDEM\u2019s television division, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be hosting the MIPCOM World Premiere TV Screening of <em>The Pier<\/em>.
