France’s Canal+ Group has licensed the adoption drama Miguel<\/em>, which won the special performance prize for best ensemble cast at the inaugural Canneseries festival.<\/p>\n

Commissioned by Israeli broadcaster HOT, Miguel<\/em> is written by Tom Salama and Daphna Levin (In Treatment<\/em>) and produced by David Mandil\u2019s Movie Plus Productions. It tells the story of Tom, a gay Israeli man who wants to fulfill his dream of adopting a child and travels to Guatemala to bring home 5-year-old orphan Miguel. Tom\u2019s expectations are shattered as Miguel stubbornly refuses to embrace his new life.<\/p>\n

ADD Content secured the deal with Canal+ Group.
