{"id":9770,"date":"2018-07-25T10:38:50","date_gmt":"2018-07-25T14:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/freeform-pilots-drama-duo-behind-americans\/"},"modified":"2018-07-25T12:50:25","modified_gmt":"2018-07-25T16:50:25","slug":"freeform-pilots-drama-from-duo-behind-the-americans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/freeform-pilots-drama-from-duo-behind-the-americans\/","title":{"rendered":"Freeform Pilots Drama from Duo Behind The Americans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Freeform has given a pilot order for <em>Breckman Rodeo<\/em> (working title) from creator and writer Steve Lerner and the executive producers of <em>The Americans<\/em>, Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields.<\/p>\n<p>Fields and Weisberg are executive producers, and Lerner is co-executive producer of the pilot, which is produced by FX Productions. <em>Breckman Rodeo<\/em> is an ensemble drama about a group of young rodeo riders in Cheyenne, Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re incredibly excited to partner with Freeform, FX Productions and the brilliant Steve Lerner on his one-of-a-kind coming-of-age gem, <em>Breckman Rodeo<\/em> (working title),\u201d said Fields and Weisberg. \u201cWhen Steve, who grew up in Cheyenne, first showed us his amazing script, we asked him if there was really such a thing as a high school rodeo team. Steve has been bringing us up to speed ever since. His show is a heartfelt look at teenage life in Cheyenne\u2014familiar to some, not to others, but sure to move and surprise everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrowing up in Wyoming, I loved going to the rodeo,\u201d added Lerner. \u201cI\u2019m excited to bring the stories and people of my hometown to the screen.
