Launching later this year, the 15-part series with a feature-length pilot is also headed to\u00a0Amazon Prime Video for Latin America and to Telemundo in the U.S. It focuses on a policeman in Mexico City who has to rebuild his life after a shooting leaves him in a coma for 24 years. The original\u00a0<em>The Last Cop <\/em>was produced for SAT.1 and was subsequently adapted in France, Russia, Japan,\u00a0Czech Republic and Estonia.<\/p>\n<p>Tom\u00e1s Yankelevich, executive\u00a0VP and chief content officer for general entertainment at Turner Latin America, commented, \u201c<em>Falco<\/em> has an innovative structure for television alongside a modern hero, with robust relationships between its characters and a fresh vision of Mexico away from stereotypes. A perfect mix of action and drama with touches of humor. This series is added to a bigger strategy that TNT has been developing in Mexico, focusing on local talent and shows with the objective of producing original content.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Zasha Robles, executive producer and managing director at Spiral International, noted, &#8220;The series promises to be a thrilling, gritty and realistic exploration of crime in urban Mexico City and we\u2019re confident it will be a huge hit with audiences across Latin America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bo Stehmeier, executive VP of global sales at Red Arrow Studios International, added: \u201c<em>Falco<\/em>\u00a0Mexico has great production values, a fantastic cast and an emotional narrative that will captivate audiences across Latin America and the rest of the world.
