Lionsgate and Nevision have inked a deal to co-develop and produce a geopolitical thriller set against the backdrop of the oil business in the Middle East in the 1970s.<\/p>\n
Oil<\/em>, created and written by Alan Whiting, Matthew Faulk and Mark Skeet, is being filmed in the Gulf, Beirut, London and New York. Whiting, Faulk and Skeet will executive produce alongside Steve November, Lionsgate’s U.K. creative director; Sarah Conroy, the studio’s head of development; and Nevision’s Neil Zeiger and Sharon Bloom.<\/p>\n November described Oil<\/em> as a “gripping and seductive story about the men and women who shaped the world as we know it now.
