The acclaimed British actor\u2019s long list of movie credits includes <em>Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy<\/em>, <em>The Imitation Game<\/em>, the <em>Kingsman<\/em> franchise and, most recently, <em>The Catcher Was a Spy<\/em>. Strong now leads the cast of <em>Deep State<\/em>, the first original drama commissioned out of Fox Networks Group Europe &amp; Africa. Penned by Matthew Parkhill, the Endor production, exec produced by Hilary Bevan Jones, stars Strong as Max Easton, an ex-spy convinced to come out of retirement to avenge the death of his estranged son.<\/p>\n<p>An article about how an engineering company in Texas profited from the Iraq War served as the initial spark for <em>Deep State<\/em>. Parkhill, co-creator, writer,\u00a0director and showrunner, started working on the drama while in between seasons on his show <em>Rogue<\/em> for DIRECTV. Exploring the intersections of corporate interests and government espionage, <em>Deep State<\/em> is being distributed by Fox Networks Group Content Distribution.
