The DC Universe digital service has ordered its next original series, the live-action drama Doom Patrol<\/em>, from executive producers Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, Jeremy Carver and Sarah Schechter.<\/p>\n

From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Doom Patrol<\/em> scored a direct-to-series order for 13 one-hour episodes. The drama will be a reimagining of one of DC\u2019s most beloved group of outcast superheroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief).<\/p>\n

Based on DC characters originally written and drawn by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani, Doom Patrol<\/em> is being written by Jeremy Carver. The show will begin production this year for a 2019 debut on DC Universe, the digital service operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
