International sales are handled by STUDIOCANAL.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-episode series features an international cast, starring Andrea Riseborough (<em>The Death of Stalin<\/em>, <em>Battle of the Sexes<\/em>, <em>Waco<\/em>), Dane DeHaan (<em>Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets<\/em>, <em>The Amazing Spiderman 2<\/em>, <em>In Treatment<\/em>), Gabryel Byrne (<em>In Treatment<\/em>, <em>The Usual Suspects<\/em>, <em>Miller\u2019s Crossing<\/em>), Harold Torres (<em>Gonz\u00e1lez: Falsos Profetas<\/em>, <em>Sin Nombre<\/em>, <em>Norteado<\/em>), Giuseppe De Domenico (<em>Euphoria<\/em>), Francesco Colella (<em>Made in Italy<\/em>, <em>Feather<\/em>) and Tcheky Karyo (<em>Nikita<\/em>, <em>Les Lyonnais<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The series is developed by the same creative team behind\u00a0<em>Gomorrah<\/em>, Leonardo Fasoli, Stefano Bises, Roberto Saviano and Stefano Sollima, and is written by co-head writers Leonardo Fasoli and Mauricio Katz (<em>The Bridge<\/em>, <em>Ni\u00f1o Santo<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>ZeroZeroZero<\/em> is the story of different but equally violent and power-hungry criminals, of family dynamics and Mexican cartels, the <em>Ndrangheta<\/em> (the Calabrian mafia) and corrupt businessmen fighting over control over the world\u2019s most heavily distributed product: cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Sollima said: &#8220;In the globalized world, markets, production and consumption, even different lifestyles, are all interconnected, thanks to the continuous flow of trade that bring tons of goods to billions of people. In <em>ZeroZeroZero<\/em>\u00a0we want to tell the story of just one of these goods: probably the most universally distributed, widely consumed and, above all, most profitable. And we are going to do it by following a container ship and its load from its point of departure in Mexico to its final destination in Calabria, describing how the international trafficking of this special &#8216;commodity&#8217; is affecting the market, the world economy and even our lives.
