Banijay Rights has snapped up the worldwide distribution rights for Vidago Palace<\/em>, a period drama co-production between RTP in Portugal and TVG in Spain.<\/p>\n

Vidago Palace<\/em> is a love story that takes place at a luxurious Portuguese hotel and health resort during the early 20th century. The 6×60-minute event series\u00a0stars Mikaela Lupu, David Seijo, Pedro Barroso and Anabela Teixeira.\u00a0It is directed by Henrique Oliveira and produced by Portocabo and HOP!<\/p>\n

Vidago Palace<\/em> debuted on Portugal’s RTP in late 2017, achieving the highest prime-time ratings for the channel in the last three years.<\/p>\n

Caroline Torrance, the head of scripted at Banijay Rights, remarked: \u201cWe are extremely pleased to acquire the rights to our first Portuguese-language drama as part of our expanding non-English-language scripted portfolio. The series has an engrossing and universal narrative and, coupled with high-end production values, it is a real treat for the eyes.
