{"id":9143,"date":"2018-03-15T09:48:05","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T13:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/anna-paquin-starring-dramedy-flack\/"},"modified":"2018-03-15T11:56:17","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T15:56:17","slug":"anna-paquin-starring-in-dramedy-flack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/anna-paquin-starring-in-dramedy-flack\/","title":{"rendered":"Anna Paquin Starring in Dramedy Flack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anna Paquin (<em>The Piano<\/em>, <em>True Blood<\/em>, <em>X-Men<\/em>) is starring in the original dramedy <em>Flack<\/em>, ordered by Pop TV in the U.S. and co-produced with UKTV\u2019s entertainment channel W.<\/p>\n<p>Heading into production this month in London, <em>Flack<\/em> stars Paquin as a sharp and witty publicity maven, Robyn, who\u2019s an expert at her craft but a complete self-saboteur when it comes to her personal life.\u00a0Robyn\u2019s work as a crisis PR strategist is fast-paced and unpredictable, as she counsels high-profile personalities in entertainment, fashion and sports.<\/p>\n<p>The series is executive produced by Jimmy Mulville (<em>Episodes<\/em>) and Helen Williams of Hat Trick Productions, along with Paquin, Cerise Hallam Larkin, Stephen Moyer and Mark Larkin of CASM Films. The six-episode limited dramedy was created by Oliver Lansley (<em>Whites<\/em>, <em>Alice\u2019s Adventures Underground<\/em>), who will also executive produce. <em>Flack<\/em> is directed by Peter Cattaneo (<em>The Full Monty<\/em>) and produced by Mark Talbot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOliver Lansley has written six of the best scripts I\u2019ve ever read,\u201d said Paquin. \u201cHe walks that fine line between intense character-driven drama and exceptionally intelligent humor. My character, Robyn, exists in a world where there are no moral absolutes and humor is used as a sharply executed defense mechanism to maintain the illusion of perpetual control.
