Created by Mikkel Bak S\u00f8rensen (co-creator of <em>Greyzone<\/em>) and Christoffer \u00d6rnfelt (co-writer on <em>Greyzone<\/em>), the drama is set against the backdrop of a giant solar storm, which hits the atmosphere of Europe and causes a massive blackout.<\/p>\n<p>Malika Abdellaoui, the managing director of Newen Distribution, said: \u201cWe are extremely proud to work side by side with Nimbus Film on creating such unique series as\u00a0<em>Northern Lights<\/em>. This series is a high-concept show that mixes hope, fears and human dilemmas, and we strongly believe it will conquer the international audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bo Ehrhardt, producer and co-founder of Nimbus Film, said: \u201c<em>Northern Lights<\/em> talks directly to the audience asking: what would YOU do?
