The 8&#215;1-hour series was also picked up by ZDF in Germany, Canal Plus in Poland and Yandex in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Walter Iuzzolino from Walter Presents commented: \u201c<em>The River<\/em> is an outstanding new Nordic series\u2014dark, elegant and utterly compelling and its setting on the border between Norway and Russia brings a powerful and unusual narrative edge to the story. This is an A-list piece which takes the Scandi genre to a new height, and we are delighted to have secured it across all of Walter Presents\u2019 English-speaking territories: U.K., U.S. and Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DRG also sold the Viaplay original <em>Veni, Vidi, Vici<\/em> to SBS in Australia. The serial killer thriller <em>Monster<\/em> has now been licensed to YLE in Finland and Kino Polska in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPremium Scandinavian drama has acted as a trailblazer, helping the penetration of foreign language drama into territories across the world,\u201d said Elin Thomas, DRG\u2019s executive VP of sales. \u201cAnd, even though we now see great international dramas from all over, the appeal of Nordic drama holds strong as it consistently delivers beautiful productions with captivating stories and incredible locations.
