Patrick Spence, currently the managing director of Fifty Fathoms, is taking on the role of director of drama for both Tiger Aspect and Fifty Fathoms.<\/p>\n
Fifty Fathoms, established by Spence in 2010, will move alongside Tiger Aspect Drama and remain under the Endemol Shine UK umbrella. Each company will retain their existing teams and separate identities but will benefit from joint leadership and support across production and finance. A new director of production will be appointed to work across both teams.<\/p>\n
Spence will be working closely with Tiger Aspect MD Ben Cavey and will be tasked with building the Tiger Aspect drama slate, alongside his existing role with Fifty Fathoms. Current productions across both outfits include The Eddy<\/em> (Netflix), Peaky Blinders<\/em> (BBC Two), The A Word<\/em> (BBC One), Good Karma Hospital<\/em> (ITV) and Fortitude<\/em> (Sky Atlantic).<\/p>\n Richard Johnston, the CEO of Endemol Shine UK, said: \u201cWith Patrick\u2019s incredible track record and remarkable creative vision, it was a no-brainer for him to take creative responsibility for drama output across both companies.
