{"id":8021,"date":"2017-07-18T10:55:06","date_gmt":"2017-07-18T14:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/169493-2\/"},"modified":"2017-07-18T13:42:41","modified_gmt":"2017-07-18T17:42:41","slug":"indian-serial-heads-to-lithuania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/indian-serial-heads-to-lithuania\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Serial to Debut in Lithuania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LNK in Lithuania is set to premiere the Indian drama <em>Saath Nibhana Sathiya<\/em> (<em>Stand By My Side<\/em>) this month following a deal with Intellecta.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement follows\u00a0LNK&#8217;s acquisition of another Star India show, <em>Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doom<\/em> (<em>Strange Love<\/em>).\u00a0<em>Saath Nibhana Sathiya<\/em>, broadcasting\u00a0in an afternoon slot beginning this week, is the fourth Indian serial to air on the Lithuanian broadcast group&#8217;s\u00a0channels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Stand By My Side<\/em>\u00a0is one of the longest-running Indian drama series, which has achieved high ratings in a number of international markets,\u201d said Christina Vlahova, the CEO of Intellecta. \u201cAnd we are very happy that LNK has decided to show it to their viewers, because the story is very touching and we have a lot of high-running emotions in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe chose <em>Saath Nibhaana Saathiya<\/em>\u00a0because we were looking for the proper replacement of the very successful Indian series <em>Diya Aur Bhati Hum,<\/em>\u201d said Jolanta Jasiene, the deputy\u00a0program director of LNK. \u201cWe were looking for a similar story, and in both of them we found a very strong conflict with the authoritarian mothers-in-law the main heroines have to fight for their rights and freedom of choice.
