Rai 1 is also on board a seventh season of Endemol Shine Italy&#8217;s crime comedy\u00a0<em>The Teacher<\/em>, based on Margherita Oggero\u2019s best-selling novels, and a second season of\u00a0<em>The Good Apprentice<\/em>, based on\u00a0Alessia Gazzola\u2019s novels.<\/p>\n<p>The new commissions come on the heels of the success of the six-part drama <em>Sisters<\/em> on Rai 1\u2014the finale attracted 6.2 million viewers and a 27.1 percent share.<\/p>\n<p>At commercial broadcaster Canale 5, meanwhile, Endemol Shine Italy is producing ten new episodes of\u00a0<em>Tuscan Passion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Paolo Bassetti, CEO of Endemol Shine Italy, noted, \u201cScripted programming plays a significant role in our business and we are thrilled to announce our latest new dramas for Rai 1 and Canale 5. We already have proven success in this genre.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Massimo Del Frate, head of drama of Endemol Shine Italy, added, \u201cOver the years, we have expanded our scripted production creating some of the most appealing multi-season brands for the different audiences of our national broadcasters.
