The drama series Greyzone<\/em>, a Danish-Swedish-German co-production, begins filming this week and is scheduled to debut on C More and TV2 in spring 2018.<\/p>\n

Greyzone<\/em> is a character-led drama about the events leading up to a terror attack in Scandinavia. The ten-episode series is created by head writers Oskar S\u00f6derlund and Morten Dragsted, alongside showrunner Rasmus Thorsen and producer Tomas Hostrup-Larsen. Jesper W. Nielsen (The Day Will Come<\/em>) is attached as the director for the first five episodes. The drama series is a co-production with TV2 Denmark, TV4 Sweden, C More Sweden, ZDFNeo, NRK Norway, SF Studios Sweden and Nadcon Film.<\/p>\n

The Cosmo Film project is supported by the Public Service Fund, the Swedish Film Institute, Copenhagen Film Fund, Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and Nordisk Film & TV Fond.<\/p>\n

Birgitte Hjort S\u00f8rensen (Borgen<\/em>) is attached to star alongside Ardalan Esmaili (Hamlet<\/em> at Folkteatern Gothenburg), Joachim Fjelstrup (Itsy, Bitsy<\/em>) and Tova Magnusson (The Bridge<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Thorsen commented: \u201cIt is the story of individual responsibility in a chaotic world where justice and personal freedom are taken hostage\u00a0and about the comprehensive challenges and emotional journey for those involved. We feel humbled and excited to start the production of Greyzone<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johanna Bergenstr\u00e5hle, the head of drama at TV4 and C More, said: \u201cThe best dramas are the ones that not only entertain\u2014but also are able to resonate with society and make the complex times we live in slightly more understandable. With Greyzone<\/em>, we found that story we have been longing and waiting for in Swedish drama.
