AMC has renewed its Western drama The Son<\/em> for a second season.<\/p>\n

The series, which stars Pierce Brosnan, is a sweeping saga about a Texas ranching and oil family. It is based on Philipp Meyer\u2019s New York Times<\/em> best-selling novel of the same name. The Son<\/em> will return to AMC in 2018 with ten new episodes.<\/p>\n

The show is sold by Sonar Entertainment.<\/p>\n
