The 4&#215;60-minute drama explores the repercussions surrounding the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man. The ensemble cast will also include John Simm (<em>Life on Mars<\/em>), Nicola Walker (<em>Last Tango in Halifax<\/em>) and Billie Piper (<em>Doctor Who<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Executive producers on <em>Collateral<\/em>\u00a0are Hare, George Faber and Mark Pybus for The Forge, Lucy Richer for the BBC and SJ Clarkson (<em>Dexter<\/em>). Filming\u00a0kicked off\u00a0this month, with\u00a0Clarkson on board as director.<\/p>\n<p>Hare commented: \u201cI&#8217;ve been writing drama for the BBC since 1973, but this is my first original series. I&#8217;m thrilled that it has such a stunningly gifted cast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Piers Wenger, controller of BBC Drama, added: \u201c<em>Collateral<\/em> is a highly imaginative, thought-provoking and utterly contemporary state-of-the-nation thriller written by Britain&#8217;s foremost political dramatist.
