{"id":7319,"date":"2017-02-16T09:36:53","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T14:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/freud-selected-for-series-mania-co-production-forum\/"},"modified":"2017-02-16T13:39:08","modified_gmt":"2017-02-16T18:39:08","slug":"freud-selected-for-series-mania-co-production-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/freud-selected-for-series-mania-co-production-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Freud Selected for Series Mania Co-Production Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PARIS: The Austro-German series <em>Freud<\/em> has been selected from the Berlin Film Festival to be presented at the fifth edition of the Series Mania Co-Production Forum.<\/p>\n<p>From a set of projects pitched at the Berlinale, Series Mania&#8217;s Laurence Herszberg selected <em>Freud<\/em> from German writer Stefan Brunner, known for his work on series such as <em>Tatort<\/em> and <em>Kommissar Rex<\/em>. The series features Freud and his involvement in police investigations at the turn of the 19th century. It is co-produced by Bavaria Fernsehproduktion (Germany) and Satel Film (Austria).<\/p>\n<p>Series producers Moritz Polter and Henrich Ambrosch are invited to the Series Mania Co-Production Forum in April, where they will reveal how the project is coming along to a panel of international TV execs, boosting their chances of raising the financing they need.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Freud<\/em> is a real European co-production with strong international potential, involving an emblematic character as well-known as any international brand,\u201d Herszberg\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>Also in Berlin, Drama Series Days presented <em>Warrior<\/em>, a project that was featured at the Co-Production Forum in April 2016.
