PASADENA: SundanceTV has entered into a co-production partnership with BBC One for the new drama series The Split<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The series comes from writer Abi Morgan (River<\/em>, Suffragette<\/em>, The Hour<\/em>)\u00a0and is produced by Jane Featherstone\u2019s (Broadchurch<\/em>, River<\/em>, Humans<\/em>) Sister Pictures, and Lucy Dyke (Black Mirror<\/em>).\u00a0<\/span>Jessica Hobbs (River<\/em>, Broadchurch<\/em>) will direct.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The six-episode series is slated to go into production in the U.K. later\u00a0in 2017.\u00a0<\/span>Following its finale on SundanceTV, The\u00a0Split<\/em> will be available for streaming exclusively in the U.S. on Sundance Now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Set in London,\u00a0<\/span>The Split<\/em> examines the fast-paced\u00a0world\u00a0of high-powered female divorce lawyers through the lens of three sisters: Hannah, Nina and the youngest, Rose.\u00a0<\/span>The lives of the sisters and their mother, face disruption when their estranged father\/husband Oscar returns after a 30-year absence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BBC Worldwide is handling international distribution.<\/span><\/p>\n
