{"id":6998,"date":"2016-11-22T09:58:23","date_gmt":"2016-11-22T14:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/tnt-pilots-snowpiercer-series\/"},"modified":"2016-11-22T12:08:56","modified_gmt":"2016-11-22T17:08:56","slug":"tnt-pilots-snowpiercer-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/tnt-pilots-snowpiercer-series\/","title":{"rendered":"TNT Pilots Snowpiercer Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA: TNT has ordered a pilot for <em>Snowpiercer<\/em>, based on the award-winning movie by Bong Joon Ho.<\/p>\n<p>The hour-long drama pilot, a co-production of Tomorrow Studios and Turner&#8217;s Studio T, is being executive produced by writer\/showrunner Josh Friedman (<em>Avatar 2<\/em>, <em>Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles<\/em>) and Tomorrow Studios&#8217; Marty Adelstein (<em>Aquarius<\/em>, <em>Prison Break<\/em>, <em>Teen Wolf<\/em>) and Becky Clements (<em>Good Behavior<\/em>, <em>Aquarius<\/em>, <em>Last Man Standing<\/em>), and the original film\u2019s Bong Joon Ho, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi, along with CJ Entertainment. <em>Snowpiercer<\/em> is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and the remnants of humanity inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Snowpiercer<\/em> has one of the most original concepts to hit the screen in the last decade, and it&#8217;s one that offers numerous opportunities for deeper exploration in a series format,&#8221; said Sarah Aubrey, the executive VP of original programming for TNT. &#8220;We look forward to expanding TNT&#8217;s relationship with Tomorrow Studios and their take on a world where humanity is pushed to the extreme.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;TNT has become a great producing partner to Tomorrow Studios and we are excited to continue our relationship with them on <em>Snowpiercer<\/em>, for which we not only have a pilot but are writing multiple scripts,\u201d added Adelstein, CEO of Tomorrow Studios. &#8220;This is an incredibly powerful story and one for which finding the perfect home was imperative to its success.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA: TNT has ordered a pilot for Snowpiercer, based on the award-winning movie by Bong Joon Ho.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":350,"featured_media":6999,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[1511,775],"class_list":["post-6998","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-snowpiercer","tag-tnt","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
