Season to date, <em>Lucifer<\/em> is averaging 8 million multiplatform viewers. The series tells the story of the original fallen angel, Lucifer, who abandons his throne and retires to Los Angeles, where he teams up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals.<\/p>\n<p>The series is based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment. <em>Lucifer<\/em> is produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Aggressive Mediocrity. The series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. Len Wiseman serves as director and executive producer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Lucifer<\/em> continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling,\u201d said David Madden, the president of entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company. \u201cThe show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to <em>Gotham<\/em>, and we couldn&#8217;t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes. We&#8217;d like to thank Tom [Ellis], Lauren [German] and the entire cast, who have imbued these characters with charm, humor and a great deal of humanity.
