LOS ANGELES: Andrew Haigh (45 Years<\/em>, Weekend<\/em>) has signed on to adapt and direct the limited series The North Water<\/em>, inspired by\u00a0the novel penned by Ian McGuire.<\/p>\n

The North Water<\/em> centers on a disgraced ex-army surgeon who, after agreeing to serve as\u00a0a ship’s doctor for a whaling expedition to the Arctic, finds himself dealing with a homicidal psychopath. The BBC is currently developing The North Water<\/em> with producer See-Saw Films as a 6×1-hour limited series.<\/p>\n
