LONDON: Catalyst Global Media has optioned Frances Hardinge\u2019s novel Cuckoo Song<\/em> to adapt as a special event TV miniseries.<\/p>\n

Set in 1920s England, the coming-of-age story is about a young girl wrestling with her identity and place in the world. She unearths a magical folklore world as she embarks on a quest to repair a broken family still haunted by the events of World War I. Catalyst will produce Cuckoo Song<\/em> as a 4×1-hour event piece.<\/p>\n

Catalyst Co-founder Charlotte Walls said, \u201cWe are thrilled to be adapting the rich and fantastical world that Frances has so vividly created.
