LONDON: UKTV has picked up the Bible-inspired scripted series The Red Tent<\/em> for its Drama channel, where it\u2019s set to air early next year.<\/p>\n

The four-part Sony Pictures Television series stars Minnie Driver, Rebecca Ferguson, Iain Glen and Debra Winger, among others. It tells the biblical story of Dinah, who suffers a devastating loss after her family opposes the man she loves.<\/p>\n

The acquisition comes as Drama celebrates its third year on the air.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Finlay, UKTV\u2019s head of acquisitions and co-productions, said: \u201cThe Red Tent<\/em> is a perfect addition to Drama\u2019s growing slate of shows, featuring an epic story with a fantastic ensemble cast. We are delighted to bring this exclusive first-run title to the channel.\u201d<\/p>\n
