BUDAPEST: Croatian broadcaster RTL has signed on for the newly announced, as-yet-untitled drama from Kanal D that will star Turkish power couple Halit Ergen\u00e7 and Berguzar Korel.<\/p>\n
The drama will see the two stars reunite ten years after last appearing together on TV. The pair previously starred in 1001 Nights<\/em>, which RTL in Croatia also aired.<\/p>\n Ergen\u00e7 later starred in Magnificent Century<\/em>, which was also broadcast by RTL in Croatia. Korel was the lead of Karadayi<\/em>.<\/p>\n Ezgi Ural, the head of sales for Europe, MENA and Asia at Kanal D, told World Screen Newsflash<\/em> that the couple’s star power is one of the factors driving the early interest in the show. \u201cTheir series have been sold in more than 150 countries in the world, so there\u2019s a significance. It\u2019s also about the company behind it, Kanal D, which is the most important brand when you talk about the TV industry in Turkey, and the production company as well.
