The second season will feature a brand-new story from creator and writer Chris Lang, who will again explore the fallout from the investigation into a historic murder case.<\/p>\n<p>Walker and Bhaskar will be joined in season two by Mark Bonnar (<em>Undercover<\/em>, <em>Shetland<\/em>, <em>Catastrophe<\/em>) Rosie Cavaliero (<em>Prey<\/em>, <em>Hunderby<\/em>, <em>The Enfield Haunting<\/em>), Lorraine Ashbourne (<em>Jericho<\/em>, <em>The Interceptor<\/em>, <em>New Tricks<\/em>), Badria Timimi (<em>EastEnders<\/em>, <em>DCI Banks<\/em>, <em>Killing Jesus<\/em>), Charlie Condou (<em>You, Me and the Apocalypse<\/em>, <em>Coronation Street<\/em>, <em>Casualty<\/em>), Holly Aird (<em>Page Eight<\/em>, <em>The Promise<\/em>, <em>Identity<\/em>), Nigel Lindsay (<em>You, Me and the Apocalypse<\/em>, <em>Foyle\u2019s War<\/em>, <em>Poirot<\/em>), Peter Egan (<em>Downton Abbey<\/em>, <em>Grantchester<\/em>, <em>Doctor Who<\/em>) and Wendy Craig (<em>Death in Paradise<\/em>, <em>Doctors<\/em>, <em>Marple<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The series will be distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were delighted at the response to <em>Unforgotten<\/em> and it&#8217;s fantastic to be bringing back Cassie and Sunny to investigate a different historical murder,\u201d said Sally Haynes on behalf of producers Mainstreet Pictures. \u201cAs with the first series Chris has written a complex, emotional and surprising story that challenges our heroes as they uncover long-hidden secrets in the lives of the suspects.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lang, <em>Unforgotten<\/em>&#8216;s writer, creator and executive producer, said: \u201cI am so excited to be making a second season of <em>Unforgotten<\/em>.
