The series is being created and executive produced by Davey Holmes (<em>Shameless<\/em>, <em>In Treatment<\/em>, <em>Damages<\/em>). MGM, a joint-venture partner in EPIX, produced the 1995 movie version of <em>Get Shorty<\/em> that starred John Travolta, Gene Hackman, Rene Russo and Danny DeVito.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be working with MGM on <em>Get Shorty<\/em>,\u201d said Mark S. Greenberg, the president and CEO of EPIX. \u201cI had the pleasure of working with Elmore Leonard early in my career and I am a big fan of his writing.
