SWANSEA: Bad Wolf, the production outfit founded by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner last year, has named Miles Ketley as its COO and made a trio of appointments to its creative team.<\/p>\n
Ketley previously worked with Tranter and Gardner as a media lawyer and was enlisted to help establish Bad Wolf given his corporate financing background. Ketley was previously co-head of \u00a0film and TV at Wiggin LLP, the U.K.\u2019s largest media law firm, where he also ran its\u00a0early stage corporate finance advisory, Ariel Ventures.<\/p>\n
\u201cJoining Bad Wolf is, in many ways, a natural evolution of all of the executive producing and entrepreneurial ambitions I have had at Wiggin and Ariel,” he said. “It’s also a challenge to see if I can execute as a principal what I had previously only advised on. But it\u2019s also an opportunity that, for me, is so much more than this. Jane’s and Julie\u2019s experience as commissioners and producers on both sides of the Atlantic, their record of public service at the BBC and the company\u2019s funding from the Welsh Government, mean that Bad Wolf has a unique opportunity to create amazing programs from a scalable company with real social impact. And I feel very fortunate to be part of this opportunity.”<\/p>\n
Tranter, co-founder of Bad Wolf, noted, “I am delighted that Miles is joining Bad Wolf as COO. His experience is going to be a huge asset to the company as we build the business in Wales. His work with the Welsh government and other partnerships in the nation gives us the opportunity to develop important and sustainable local relationships, which we can use as a springboard to producing projects with global reach and ambition. In addition, Bad Wolf has tapped Amy Hodge and Ryan Rasmussen as development VPs and Matthew Ariail as VP of production. All three were previously at BBC Worldwide Productions.<\/p>\n
