Produced by Globomedia for Antena 3, <em>Locked Up<\/em> follows Macarena Ferreiro, who is framed by her lover for corporate fraud and sent to a high-security women\u2019s prison that houses ruthless criminals. When her only friend in the prison is brutally murdered, Macarena is implicated in a multimillion-dollar hold-up that could change her life.<\/p>\n<p><em>Locked Up<\/em> originally aired on Antena 3 in Spain. It drew 4.3 million viewers and a 22.4 percent share. The second season of the show was released last week. <em>Locked Up<\/em> will be one of the first Spanish fiction titles to air in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Thorp, the CEO of GSN, commented, \u201cWe are delighted to have made <em>Locked Up<\/em> our first Spanish acquisition. The quality of drama production is rapidly on the up in Southern Europe and <em>Locked Up<\/em> is a great example of that.
