LOS ANGELES: FOX’s upcoming event series Shots Fired<\/em> has cast Helen Hunt, Richard Dreyfuss and Stephen Moyer in lead roles.<\/p>\n

The series will explore the aftermath of racially charged shootings in a small town in North Carolina. It was created by Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Rock Bythewood and is being produced by Undisputed Cinema and Imagine Television, in association with 20th Century Fox Television. It will air this year.<\/p>\n

Hunt has been cast as Patricia Eamons, the fictional governor of North Carolina, with Dreyfuss as a real-estate mogul who owns a privatized prison that is involved in the shootings. Moyer will portray a veteran officer from the local Sheriff’s department.\u00a0The show also stars Sanaa Lathan as an investigator and Stephan James as a special prosecutor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
