LONDON: ITV has commissioned a three-part drama that spotlights the life of English footballer Bobby Moore and his wife, Tina.<\/p>\n

Titled Tina and Bobby<\/em>, the 3×1-hour series, produced by ITV Studios, is based on Tina Moore’s memoir, Bobby Moore: By the Person Who Knew Him Best<\/em>. The TV adaptation is being written by Lauren Klee (EastEnders<\/em>, Waterloo Road<\/em>, Holby City<\/em>) and executive produced by Kieran Roberts, creative director for drama at ITV Studios’s Manchester post. Spencer Campbell (Cold Feet<\/em>, Mad Dogs<\/em>, Murder in the Outback<\/em>) is producing.<\/p>\n

ITV’s director of drama, Steve November, commented, \u201cTina and Bobby became national sweethearts in a time when the whole of Britain seemed youthful, successful and optimistic. Tina has reason to be called the first WAG, the Moores were the first celebrity football couple and the nation fell in love with them. Tina and Bobby<\/em> is a personal and frank insight into their lives and we\u2019re delighted to commission the drama from Kieran Roberts and ITV Studios.\u201d<\/p>\n
