The X-Files<\/em> made its regular time-slot premiere on Monday night, garnering 9.7 million total viewers and a 3.2 rating, making it the highest-rated broadcast program of the night.<\/p>\n The show originally premiered in September 1993 and was a cult sci-fi favorite.
