The first episode is currently available to stream on Amazon Video at no cost. Executive produced by Ridley Scott, <em>Mercy Street<\/em> is set in the Civil War home front of Virginia. It follows the lives of two volunteer nurses on opposite sides of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Prime members love PBS period dramas like <em>Downton Abbey<\/em> and <em>Mr. Selfridge<\/em> and fans of those great shows are going to really enjoy <em>Mercy Street<\/em>,&#8221; said Brad Beale, the VP of digital video content acquisition for Amazon. &#8220;We are also excited to bring each episode of <em>Mercy Street<\/em> to Prime Video only seven days after it broadcasts on PBS stations.
