LOS ANGELES: After 13 seasons on the hit CBS procedural NCIS<\/em>, Michael Weatherly<\/a> has decided to exit the show.<\/p>\n

Weatherly, who plays Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, will make his final appearance at the end of this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 13 years on NCIS<\/em>, Michael Weatherly is leaving the show at the end of this season,\u201d CBS said in a statement. \u201cHe is a valued part of the CBS family, and the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as \u2018Very\u2019 Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS<\/em> what it is today\u2014the number one drama in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank Michael for all of his contributions to this successful franchise, and look forward to continuing to develop projects with him as part of our ongoing development deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
