{"id":24529,"date":"2026-03-05T11:59:48","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T16:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/dynamic-television-clapperboard-co-producing-new-hallmark-series\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T12:06:58","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T17:06:58","slug":"dynamic-television-clapperboard-co-producing-new-hallmark-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/dynamic-television-clapperboard-co-producing-new-hallmark-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Dynamic Television &#038; Clapperboard Co-Producing New Hallmark Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hallmark Media has commissioned Dynamic Television and Clapperboard Studios to produce the six-part romance series <em>Paris Is Always a Good Idea<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Starring Lacey Chabert (<em>She\u2019s Making a List<\/em>, <em>Mean Girls<\/em>), Scott Michael Foster (<em>Return to Office<\/em>, <em>Crazy Ex-Girlfriend<\/em>), and Rebecca Hanssen (<em>The Witcher<\/em>, <em>Love Through a Prism<\/em>), the series follows a workaholic young woman who reluctantly returns to Paris with her family and her infuriating office rival only to be sent on an emotional, life-changing journey across Europe to reconnect with the three men she fell in love with seven years ago during her gap year.<\/p>\n<p>The series is adapted from the novel of the same name by Jenn McKinlay. Executive producers are Carrie Stein, Daniel March, Mike Benson, Rachel Gesua, Heidi Cole McAdams and Lauren Muir, who also serves as showrunner. The series is written by Cole McAdams and Muir.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamic Television will be handling worldwide distribution, excluding the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Paris Is Always a Good Idea<\/em> has heart, humor and a story that travels, everything we look for in a global romance,\u201d said Stein, president of global scripted television at Dynamic Television. \u201cLacey brings enormous charm to the role, and we\u2019re excited to work with Clapperboard Studios on a project that feels distinctly Hallmark and offers strong worldwide appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gesua, senior executive producer for Clapperboard Studios, commented, \u201cWe are delighted to be co-producing the screen adaptation of <em>Paris Is Always a Good Idea<\/em> with the brilliant team at Dynamic Television.
