Firth joins the previously announced lead star Jack Lowden. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman executive produce for PlayTone.<\/p>\n<p>Philip Kerr\u2019s <em>Berlin Noir<\/em> book series features detective Bernie Gunther, and this adaptation begins with <em>Metropolis<\/em> and his origin story in 1928.
