Keshet International (KI) has acquired Clapperboard\u2019s new thriller series, Number One Fan<\/em>, starring Jill Halfpenny and Sally Lindsay for Paramount’s 5 in the U.K.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to headline our 2026 scripted slate with Number One Fan<\/em>, a bold, addictive revenge thriller with the kind of cat-and-mouse intensity that global audiences loved in Killing Eve<\/em>,\u201d said Kelly Wright, KI\u2019s managing director of Distribution. \u201cWhat makes this series truly distinctive is that we see a woman stalking another woman, and the layers being peeled back in the complex relationship between Jill Halfpenny and Sally Lindsay\u2019s characters. With Paul Wilmshurst and Clapperboard\u2019s confident, stylish direction, this is a smart, provocative thriller that will keep buyers and audiences guessing right to the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Number One Fan<\/em> is directed by Paul Wilmshurst. Mike Benson and Suzi McIntosh are executive producers for Clapperboard. Brett Wilson is the producer. Rachel Kilfeather is the lead writer on the series with Marcus Fleming.<\/p>\n

TV presenter Lucy, the nation\u2019s sweetheart, has two million Instagram followers, a famous husband and a flawless family. One day, she meets Donna Hughes, an unassuming fan who intervenes to stop a thief stealing Lucy\u2019s bag in a supermarket car park. Lucy invites Donna, her hero and \u201cnumber one fan\u201d, to watch her show as thanks. But Donna\u2019s fandom turns into a darker obsession.<\/p>\n
