The period drama was originally commissioned by MASTERPIECE on PBS for the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Forsytes<\/em>, from Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios and MASTERPIECE, is directed by Meenu Gaur, Annetta Laufer and Andy Newbery. The series was commissioned for a second season while season one was in production.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Forsytes<\/em> follows the Forsyte family in 1880s London, portraying a family bound together by duty, until that duty conflicts with matters of the heart, unlocking scandals.
