Production has commenced on Lost and Found<\/em>, an adventure drama series targeting Gen Z audiences for NHK from Singapore\u2019s Mocha Chai Laboratories (MCL), Empire of Arkadia (EOA) and Japan\u2019s TV Man Union.<\/p>\n

EOA is handling global distribution on the new series, which is being shot in English and Japanese in Tokyo and Singapore. MCL and EOA are joint producers on the ground in Singapore for this production.<\/p>\n

The series is slated to air on NHK and Mediacorp in mid-March 2026, as Singapore and Japan mark the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. The executive producers are Michelle Chang from MCL and Fotini Paraskakis at EOA. The series is backed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore’s international co-production grant. Headlining the six-part series are Japan\u2019s Anna Yamada and Singapore\u2019s Shawn Thia.<\/p>\n

Chang and Fotini said: “We are absolutely thrilled to see this idea finally come to life. Working together with NHK and TVU has been an incredible experience and has helped us take the story to another level, giving the series a fresh, yet real perspective on the complex world that we live in today, something that is relatable to all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rishi Endo, NHK\u2019s executive producer, added: \u201cThanks to today\u2019s technological advances, language translation has become very efficient, yet the true challenge in bridging the gap between language, culture and customs still remains. Yet it is precisely beyond these barriers that the most exhilarating stories are born. I am confident with this
\nremarkable team we can deliver a drama that deeply resonates across borders. I sincerely hope audiences around the world will find joy and inspiration in what we\u2019ve created.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hiromitsu Sugita, exec producer at TVU, noted: \u201cThe launch of this series is truly timely, as a notorious hub for scam frauds was shut down in Myanmar at the start of this project, with many of those arrested operating across Asia and within Japan itself. This incident gave a fresh, multifaceted and current perspective to our narrative, creating a uniquely compelling new viewer experience.
