Among the broadcasters that are on board are ARTE for French- and German-speaking countries, Yle in Finland, SVT in Sweden, NRK in Norway, DR in Denmark, Cosmote TV in Greece and TVNZ in New Zealand. Lionsgate Play and BBC Studios have signed pan-regional deals spanning 7 and 25 countries, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Lionsgate Play\u2019s deal covers South Asia, while BBC Studios\u2019 spans CEE.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Hack<\/em> is produced by ITV Studios, AC Chapter One and One Shoe Films, in co-production with Stan in Australia. Set between 2002 and 2012, it interweaves two real-life stories\u2014the work of investigate journalist Nick Davies, who uncovered evidence of phone hacking at the News of the World, and the story of the investigation into the unsolved murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan, led by former Met Police Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Cook.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside Tennant and Carlyle, the cast includes Toby Jones (<em>Mr Bates vs The Post Office<\/em>, <em>Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny<\/em>, <em>Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom<\/em>) and Dougray Scott (<em>Vigil<\/em>, <em>Irvine Welsh\u2019s Crime<\/em>, <em>Batwoman<\/em>, <em>Ever After<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>The Hack <\/em>is written by Thorne, who also executive produces, alongside Joe Williams (<em>Mr Bates vs The Post Office<\/em>, <em>Lupin<\/em>) for ITV Studios, Lewis Arnold and Tennant. Abi Bach (<em>The Honourable Woman<\/em>, <em>Black Earth Rising<\/em>, <em>And Then There Were None<\/em>) is the series producer.
