Death Valley<\/em>, written by Paul Doolan, has landed deals in more than 100 markets for BBC Studios.<\/p>\n

“Death Valley<\/em>\u2019s rapid success, with strong audience ratings and critical acclaim in the U.K. and standout sales internationally, speaks to the creative strength of the BBC Studios Comedy team,” said Janet Brown, president of global content sales at BBC Studios. “It\u2019s a distinctly British story with global appeal, brought to life by exceptional talent on- and off-screen. With a second series underway, we\u2019re confident it will continue to travel far and wide\u2014it would be a crime to think otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The six-part series from BBC Studios Comedy Productions is headed to BritBox in the U.S., Mystery Channel in Japan, Coupang in Korea, COSMOTE TV in Greece, TVNZ and more. It follows an unlikely crime-solving partnership between a retired actor and a detective sergeant.<\/p>\n

Brown will be speaking at MIPCOM with the BBC’s chief content officer, Kate Phillips, in a Creative Hub session, Powerful Storytelling for a Global Stage.
