STUDIOCANAL has appointed Sky Studios alum Paul Gilbert as senior VP of English-language series to spearhead the development and production of projects from the U.K. and U.S.<\/p>\n

Gilbert was previously commissioning editor for Sky Studios, where he executive produced series such as The Lazarus Project<\/em>, Amadeus<\/em>, A Town Called Malice<\/em>, Tin Star<\/em> and The Fear Index<\/em>. Before that, he produced Mike Bartlett\u2019s Press<\/em> for the BBC and Masterpiece and Humans<\/em> for Channel 4 and AMC.<\/p>\n Prior to that, he was head of drama development at Big Talk Productions and an in-house development producer at BBC Drama Production and BBC Drama Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n At STUDIOCANAL, Gilbert will oversee the development and production of series hailing from the U.K. and U.S. He will work closely with STUDIOCANAL\u2019s production companies, Urban Myth Films, The Picture Company, SunnyMarch, Strong Film & TV, Birdie Pictures and Brock Media.
