Everett will take on the role of her husband, Malise Gordon, Campbell-Black\u2019s former show-jumping coach and mentor.<\/p>\n<p>Further talent joining the ensemble are Maxim Ays (<em>Boarders<\/em>), Holly Cattle (<em>Young Sherlock<\/em>), Oliver Dench (<em>Hotel Portofino<\/em>), Amanda Lawrence (<em>Malory Towers<\/em>), Bobby Lockwood (<em>Wolfblood<\/em>), Eliot Salt (<em>Slow Horses<\/em>) and Jonny Weldon (<em>One Day<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Returning cast from season one includes Wendy Albiston (<em>Coronation Street<\/em>), Jamie Bisping (<em>Piglets<\/em>), Denise Black (<em>Queer As Folk)<\/em>, Timothy Blore (<em>Unsinkable<\/em>), Hubert Burton (<em>Wolf Hall)<\/em>, Antony Byrne (<em>Karenina<\/em>), David Calder (<em>The World Is Not Enough<\/em>), Nino Furuhata (<em>Tetris<\/em>) and Selina Griffiths (<em>The Larkins<\/em>), among many others.<\/p>\n<p>The drama is set against the backdrop of the Cotswolds countryside and the high-stakes world of 1980s British television. Careers, marriages and reputations hang in the balance as personal and professional lives collide.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rivals<\/em> is based on the best-selling novel by Dame Jilly Cooper. It is produced by Happy Prince, part of ITV Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The series will return to Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in the U.K. and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Rivals<\/em> is a landmark series for Disney+, quickly becoming one of our most beloved British U.K. original dramas,\u201d said Lee Mason, executive director of scripted originals for EMEA at Disney+. \u201cI&#8217;m delighted to welcome Hayley and Rupert to our extraordinary family of actors.
