Odeon Fiction has appointed Britta Meyermann, who has been with the company since 2013, as its new managing director, effective May 1.<\/p>\n
Meyermann will be succeeding Mischa Hofmann, who is stepping down from his role as managing director on May 31 after 19 years. Meyermann has served as producer and head of international co-production since 2013.<\/p>\n
Meyermann has credits for titles such as The Night in Question<\/em>, The Seed<\/em> and Spy City<\/em>. Her current projects include the development of a major international co-production series with Degeto and the English-language series Learning to Fly<\/em>, which she is developing as a co-production between Odeon Fiction, the Swedish-French producer Patrick Nebout (Midnight Sun<\/em>, The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared<\/em>, Whiskey on the Rocks<\/em>) and the Finnish broadcaster Yle.<\/p>\n Prior to joining Odeon Fiction, Meyermann worked for Global Screen as VP of acquisitions and co-productions.
