Blending humor, romance and sharp social commentary, the series tackles themes of gender inequality, consumerism and xenophobia.<\/p>\n<p>Ragnar Bragason (<em>The Night Shift<\/em>, <em>The Day Shift<\/em>, <em>The Prison Shift<\/em>) is creator and co-writer of the series. Snjolaug Ludviksdottir (<em>Konur<\/em>, <em>Stella Blomquist<\/em>) is co-writer. The series will be directed by Magn\u00fas Leifsson (<em>Dovetail<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Andri \u00d3marsson, co-owner and producer at Glassriver, said, \u201cWe are taking it back to the \u201970s!
