In the series, Hermannsd\u00f3ttir is investigating a shocking murder case while coming to terms with her own personal traumas. Faced with an impending early retirement and forced to take on a new partner, Hermannsd\u00f3ttir is determined to find the killer, even if it means putting her own life in danger.<\/p>\n<p>Shot in Iceland, <em>The Darkness<\/em> is a co-production from CBS Studios and Icelandic production company Truenorth for local Icelandic broadcaster S\u00edminn.<\/p>\n<p>Paramount Global Content Distribution distributes the series outside of Iceland.
