{"id":22273,"date":"2025-03-04T11:38:49","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T16:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/glassriver-partners-with-nicholas-weinstock-marc-lorber\/"},"modified":"2025-03-04T11:54:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T16:54:48","slug":"glassriver-partners-with-nicholas-weinstock-marc-lorber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/glassriver-partners-with-nicholas-weinstock-marc-lorber\/","title":{"rendered":"Glassriver Partners with Nicholas Weinstock &#038; Marc Lorber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iceland\u2019s Glassriver has teamed up with Invention Studios\u2019 Nicholas Weinstock, producer of Apple TV+\u2019s <em>Severance<\/em>, and The Art of Coproduction\u2019s Marc Lorber for the scripted series <em>Masquerade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Masquerade<\/em>, a young American reporter arrives in a small Icelandic village to investigate the unsolved abduction case of a 4-year-old girl, the granddaughter of the town\u2019s most wealthy and powerful man, who vanished while on vacation in Florida 25 years prior.<\/p>\n<p>The series was created by Glassriver\u2019s Andri \u00d3ttarsson and Baldvin Z and written by \u00d3ttarsson, El\u00edsabet Hall, Ur\u00f0ur Egilsd\u00f3ttir, Karen Bj\u00f6rg Eyfj\u00f6r\u00f0 \u00deorsteinsd\u00f3ttir and El\u00edas Helgi Kofoed-Hansen. Baldvin Z is the lead director of the series.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstock is known for developing and producing <em>Severance<\/em>, which he continues to executive produce. He has developed and produced movies such as <em>Bridesmaids<\/em>, <em>Alex Strangelove<\/em>, <em>Plus One<\/em>, <em>Dinner in America<\/em>, <em>Queenpins<\/em> and <em>Thelma<\/em>, as well as series including <em>Escape at Dannemora<\/em> and<em> In the Dark<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Lorber started The Art of Coproduction after his departure from Lionsgate after ten years. At Lionsgate, he served as senior VP of TV co-productions and acquisitions and was responsible for projects such as <em>Motherland<\/em>, <em>Population 11<\/em>, <em>The Pact<\/em> and <em>Northern Lights<\/em>. His more recent co-productions include<em> Mix Tape<\/em>, <em>Video Nasty<\/em>, <em>Leonard &amp; Hungry Paul<\/em> and <em>The Ridge<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Masquerade<\/em> is a huge step for us, bringing together talent from both sides of the Atlantic\u2014just like the story itself,\u201d said Andri \u00d3marsson, CEO of Glassriver. \u201cWe\u2019ve worked hard to build a series that connects East and West, and having these incredible partners on board is a real validation of that effort.
